CHRISTMAS EVE AT SEVEN

It is the 24th of December 2021, the last seven days. Are you ready? Getting excited? I am! I haven't any huge travel plans or anything like that but I still get all enthused with the season. I love the lights, the colors...I lose myself into all of the Christmas movies on Prime & Netflix...In fact I've watched several of them more than twice. (maybe five) Lol! They are nice as background entertainment while I'm painting & wrapping.

All the people I've passed on the streets this week have kept my spirit soaring as they dashed in and out of stores and I've noticed more friendliness even behind their masks, they nodded and wished a 'Merry Christmas' in passing by. I think that is awesome and reassuring. It reminds me that we haven't forgotten the way it used to be.

Even though it's cold, I sat on a bench with my hot coffee and 'people watched' as everyone rushed along with groceries and Christmas packages in all shapes and sizes & cannot help but wonder what they had purchased that made them happy about giving those gifts to their special ones. How well I still remember wrapping until after midnight, scrambling to get all of the presents out of their hiding places and filling stockings, assembling toy garages and doll houses until we couldn't even think anymore. I know that is still happening in many homes tonight!!!

I cannot help but catch those delightful bitsof Christmas fever...And you know what??? I hope I never outgrow that!

Wishing everyone a safe and peaceful Christmas Eve day and evening. Remember to give yourself that little coffee or tea break to catch a breath and refresh...Because trust me, I know and I'm sure you know from years of experience...IT ALWAYS GETS DONE!
