Will I make it to the coffee shop, grab my favorite and arrive at the beach before the sun peeks over the horizon. I made a promise last night to my niece, Iris that I would video the entire sunrise for her so that she can watch it over & over while she is at her place in the city. For us it is like a theatrical experience. We have to be there in our spot, just a couple minutes before it happens. Everything around me is still as though it too is awaiting the moment. Coffee is my perfect companion as the warmth touches my face. I sigh in relief that I made it in time. I'd cut it pretty close but I was able to keep my promise & that was so important. We may never realize how something that is often taken for granted can mean so much to another. At this time Iris is needing a lot of rest and cannot be here right now. It is such a small favor she asked and yet I almost didn't make it this morning! Amazing how every color changes at first light.
When I send her the video, the sound of her joy over this makes me want to be a better person for helping others as well. I'm sure you know what I mean when I say it seems like such a small step and I know you have many in your own path that appreciate what you do for them. My Person has only asked for a video of the sunrise and yet I know her needs go far beyond that. As you read this I know you are thinking about your own journey...So let me send out a thank you for all that you do to help brighten someone's day. God tells us that no kind deeds are overlooked so what you do is pleasing to Him.
