Here we are! Down to the last day before New Year's Eve! It’s amazing how the last 10 days have just flown by. Actually all of December has just kind of been a blur. January is right around the corner but somehow I always love January? Yes it’s bitterly cold, windy, stormy, shoveling through mountains of the heavy white stuff! However after the first week of January you can really notice the days beginning to get longer and that somehow keeps me looking ahead… It’s a fulfilment of promise that spring will come. And January is the first month of the brand new year so for me there’s always a lot of anticipation of what is coming! (I always try to look at my cup is half full and not half empty). Seriously! I'm trying to keep things upbeat here, because it is often a toss between relief and letdown after everything is over in December. Maybe now there's time to pull out all those books we've been itching to read once the rush is over.
Whatever you decide, be sure to treat yourself to some time for R & R'. It's the same as hitting the 'refresh' key on our phones and computers.
My hopes and prayers for you Dear Readers, is that this coming New Year will fill your homes with love. May your heart be healed from sorrows past and present & refilled with peace. I pray that there will be more happiness and laughter in your days ahead. I Hope & pray with all my heart that our world will find a way back towards a healthy normal path.
This New Year’s bringing in 2022, I am asking myself what I need most...Do I really need more things? I've learned that they don't seem as important as before the pandemic hit. I know in my heart I need healing as does everyone else. I need to show more love and compassion with kindness towards others and I think I can write this next sentence for all of us… We need to treat ourselves kindly more often, just as we would a dearest friend so that we can regain energy and be able to move ahead when the opportunities arise.
About myself, I need to pray more...not just because I need something...but because I have a lot to be thankful for.
