COFFEE HOUR... THREE MORE SLEEPS

Resolutions! I barely hear that word spoken anymore. In my day there were plenty made, every year.

They were mostly : Lose weight, develop better eating styles, quit smoking, save money, pay off credit cards, write that book, take the long overdue trip, etc. I'm sure you remember...

On New Years we always had a huge gathering on that evening and our little ones along with cousins would try so hard to stay awake until midnight but most of the time crashed in front of the TV watching the last couple hours being counted down. We'd carry them off to beds made up for the sleepover.

Just as my children used to always ask when they were waiting for a holiday, birthday or Christmas...I am counting down now.

"How many more sleeps, Mom?"

Well, right now we are down to THREE more sleeps before New Year's Eve!

I haven't ventured too far from home this week but I've been texting & on the phone a lot and it seems like the big question from everyone is the same...

"What are you doing this New Year's Eve?"

It actually led me to an old song & the version I chose is by Ella Fitzgerald. That is her question in the song. So I decided to share it on my blog site as my New Year's wish, for my Followers and Readers.

And from what I've heard not too much will be happening around here. A friend posted this on Face Book yesterday and it really made me laugh but at the same time it is so close to the truth. It was this:

I MIGHT NOT EVEN GO!

Now isn't that just about the size of it???
