DO YOU NEED TO GIVE YOURSELF 'TIME OUT'?

Happy weekend Dear Readers! It's almost time to say farewell to February. I certainly can't say I was feeling 'the love' that February stands for. Personally, all I got from February was freezing cold temperatures, a lot of snow and a high heating bill!

Ok, that's my rant for February. *****

Looking ahead! We are now on the countdown towards the first day of SPRING! It is less than a month. 23 days and we can cancel out the word 'winter' as the new season approaches. Until then let's give ourselves ways to escape by having some 'Time Outs' from everything winter.

In 101 Blessings, I wrote about how I loved to do that. My children of course hated those words and I understood why. They had to sit and do zip. When I give myself 'Time Out', it happens because I've grabbed an old photo album, or watched my short videos from vacations. I am relaxing & remembering the experiences and people we've met. I recap stories shared and the adventures of turning off an Interstate to follow a road less travelled. It's wonderful to refresh my mind with those great memories and remember to be thankful for all those 'Happy Days' I've lived and shared, laughed and cried, then laughed some more, with dear friends and loved ones, especially those who will always be missed. 'Time Out' gives me the opportunity to reflect, smile or shed a tear or two and feel the warmth of bringing everyone close to me again. It is important that we move forward but it is also great to grab those 'Time Out', moments to remember how we've lived and loved to this point in our lives. It is our very own book of life.

February 25th, 2022 and

we've gotten through this far and are still moving forward. Believe me my 'Time Outs' were very much needed this winter and it kept me on track when some of those days/hours/nights, I wasn't so positive. Remembering all these treasured memories kept giving me the courage to wait for what may be ahead. To see what the next pages and chapters have to offer. That is the best thing we can do right now. Just keep looking ahead and hoping that things will get better. You have to find out how your own story will continue. So be kind to yourself and rest when you must, but do not quit or give up. All you've come through will become a chapter in your book of life. You will turn the page for the next one to begin. ***

I know I'm into spring mode in spite of the weather because I am waking up before my alarm and am pleasantly surprised that it isn't in darkness. The sun streaming in my window seems brighter than ever and it is so welcomed into my room. It even adds flavor to my coffee and warmth to my heart.

I'm going to share this wonderful message that is on the cover of an old journal of mine. I cannot count the many times I sat at a coffee shop and just read it over and over until something sprung up in front of me to write about. I love it & hope you will too. It's popular & you may have read it. However, once more won't hurt. This is for you, Dear Reader, until next time, Blessings, Lane

*****

LIFE is too short to wake up with regrets.

SO LOVE the people who treat you right.

FORGET ABOUT those who don't.

BELIEVE EVERYTHING happens for a reason.

IF YOU get a chance....Take it.

IF IT changes your life...Let it.

NOBODY SAID life would be easy...

THEY JUST PROMISED IT WOULD BE WORTH IT.

*****

I GOT A CHANCE & I TOOK IT...AND IT WAS WORTH IT.

This winter has really dragged on. The pandemic definitely didn't help, along with the month-long cold snap we just had. It'll be really nice to get outside again, in the warm weather. Time is on our side! 🙂

I turned the page one day maybe 13, 14 years ago and met the LOVE of my life! If I hadn't taken that book off the shelf and opened it, and turned that first page, who knows where I'd be now?
