IT'S COFFEE TIME! EVERYWHERE!

Updated: Jan 16, 2022

Good Morning my Dear Readers. Today I decided to flip back some pages so that my blog is not all about winter...I thought I would lighten it up a bit for mid-January by sharing one of my unpublished blogs from last summer. While waiting & wondering about a decision on whether to start a new web site, I kept my pen & journal busy by writing...Several times a day and taking photos wherever I stopped with my coffee & journal.

I clearly remember this day when my walk to the lake was incredibly inspiring. There was a hint of summer rain (the best kind), in the air and everything was quiet. Imagine for the next few minutes...It's mid-July as I wrote this. ***

"I love my walk this morning and have planned to spend most of the day out here. I began keeping an eye on the clouds over my shoulder as I walked towards the lake. They began sneaking up from the west & quickly rolled closer.

My friends are already at the coffee shop and I will join them as soon as Simon (he's my seagull buddy), says: 'Here comes the rain. Take cover.' Away he goes and I will eventually go inside once I have been blessed by the heavenly fresh fragrance of this approaching summer rain. There are many places with benches along the way that are under cover where I can duck beneath and experience the rain up close & personal. I'm fortunate to have a hair style (which is really none) that handles wind, rain and dries easily in the sun.

I love to take 'before and after' photos and truly see first hand how alive the surroundings become.

Look at the sky after the rain!"

The rain was over, just as I reached the coffee shop. The sun was back, bright & hot and there were Simon's friends already basking in the light. I am always amazed at these incredibly smart birds.

Everything about these long summer days are golden to me. Although we have our struggles through covid, everyone seems to be trying their best in consideration of safety for one another, our visitors and our local businesses.

I think many of us have gone overboard with flowers and beautifying our gardening because we are spending more time in our own yards but also the shop owners & our Garden Club have tried their best as well. Our town looks gorgeous! Every corner is 'postcard pretty'.

Here are some warm colors to refresh your memories while you sip your hot beverage for the next few moments.

And here's a very positive outlook that greets me on my desktop all the time Dear Readers...(for encouragement today), before returning to where we are....January

Although we are in January remember...Spring and summer will return. I am following our daylight progress even on the days I don't post my blog. Those few minutes a day add up quickly.

Until next coffee time, keep safe and warm. Take time to be kind to yourself every day because YOU are essential. Blessings, Lane
