TWO MORE 'TIL EVE TWENTY TWO

Well the weather has sure put a damper on things here in the Interlake... -38 to -46 with the wind chill! Yikes! In yesterday's blog I joked about what to wear to the living room...I think for the next couple of nights it will be the warmest, coziest jammers I own! I stocked up on coffee, tea, hot chocolate an' shortbread cookies. I can watch all the excitement in Time Square right from my couch.

Today I chatted with friends by zoom, telephone, texting, messenger, FB..so many ways to keep in touch. Through this whole pandemic it has been a source for all of us at some point, I'm sure. Right now I am grateful to have all these ways at hand for communicating. We are able to keep track of where our loved ones and friends are even if we cannot visit often, and know how their health is, which is a huge comfort. I am clinging to these ways as blessings because at least with all these conveniences, daily communication makes this trying time bearable.

So that is one thing I am giving thanks for tonight. Every day several of my close knit family & friends always take time in their day to check in with me. I want them to know how much they are appreciated at all times. Sometimes we feel it but perhaps don't voice it enough. If I were going to make a resolution for the New Year, that would be my number one! As you enjoy your hot beverage now, does something like this fall upon your heart? It's something to think about as this year closes it's door.

Have a safe evening and please be careful if out in this extreme weather for the next few days.

Until tomorrow which brings us to number one of my ten day countdown, Blessings, Lane

In the big scheme of things things can be counted on.
